B'lore: Over 50 companies to participate in VTU job fair on Sep 28

Bangalore, Sep 25: A Career Job Fair under the title “MISSION VTU- EMPOWER 10000”  with an objective to provide placement opportunities to the students of all the affiliated and constituent colleges coming under Visvesvaraya Technological University at Belgaum will be held on September 28 at UBDT Engineering College, Davangere

More than 50 companies will be participating in the VTU job fair, according to Prof H Maheshappa, VTU Vice Chancellor.
Leading companies such as Tesco, ANZ, Comment Technologies, Core Green, Telma Solutions, Atman Technologies, Skypro Technologies (Wipro), Optical Fusion, Wipro, Accenture, Amazon, Aditya Birla Minacs, Godrej, Crysis Technologies, Tele Workz, SPDB India, Webstar Solutions, HP, Volvo , Micro Labs,  Infosys, Mphasis, IBM, AGS,  Capgemini, First Source, Accurate Solutions, D Consulting, SERCO, Concentrix, Shoppers shop, Innovasource, Adeeco, 24/7, First Advantage Offshore Ltd, KOCHAR, Eureka Forbes, Namdhari Agro, Ikya Globe, Indumati Solutions, Coffee Day, Idea Telecom, C2 Info, Micro Lab, White Horse Manpower, Godrej, ICICI Lombard, Airtel, ICICI, ING Vysya, G4 Tech, Maruti Suzuki as well as many more have confirmed their participation, the Vice Chancellor said.

''The response of the corporate sector to have the drive for rural youth is overwhelming,” Prof Maheshappa said.

In a press release, he asked students of all affiliated colleges of VTU to make best use of this opportunity as all students passed out in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 batches can take part in the job fair.

The present final year students also can participate in the fair and avail the job opportunities. Details are available on VTU website.

The Principals of all Engineering colleges and general public are requested to encourage the students to participate in the fair, which will start at 9.00 am and end by 5.30 pm, the press release added.
