Traffic restrictions for Modi's Delhi rally Sunday


New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS): The Delhi traffic police has announced traffic restrictions in north Delhi in view of the Bharatiya Janata Party rally at Japanese Park in Rohini area Sunday.

Participants in the rally have been advised not to use private vehicles but commute via Delhi metro to reach Japanese Park, the Delhi Police's traffic wing said.

To reduce traffic congestion, goods vehicles will be diverted at Shahbad Dairy, Peera Garhi crossing, Wazirpur bus depot and Mukarba chowk in north Delhi.

The general public and motorists have been advised to avoid places in the vicinity of Japanese Park, K.N. Katju Marg and Outer Ring Road from Peera Garhi flyover to Mukarba flyover as the area will be cordoned off during the rally, said Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Shukla.
