Bangalore: Celebration of Franciscan feast at Darshan Institute of Theology

Bangalore, Oct 5: The Capuchins of Darshan Institute of Theology, Kengeri, Bangalore celebrated the life of St Francis of Assisi. Hundreds of religious and lay faithful of Kengeri along with the Capuchins of various fraternities of Bangalore gathered together to celebrated this remarkable day.

Fr Archibald Gonsalves, the provincial superior of Karnataka, Goa province of Carmelites was the principal celebrant of Eucharist. With his touching homily he gave us a call to strip off our worldly attitudes, desires and power. He encouraged us to take the example of our Pope Francis and do the will of the Lord.

The angelic choir led by Fr Salvadore coloured the Eucharistic celebration. The beautiful decorations and flower bouquets prepared by the brothers were a treat to the eyes.

A sumptuous banquet with Franciscan aroma was enjoyed by all the guests. Fr Jossy, the rector thanked each and every one for making this day a beautiful one.
