Mangalore, Mar 9: A railway guard’s phone call informing that an unusual sound was heard when the trains pass over the Netravati bridge here, resulted in the delay of three trains.
On Wednesday March 8 night, the Railway Police in Ullal said that trains moving in and out of the city were stopped after the guard’s alert. The trains were West Coast Express, Maveli Express and Link Express, which were delayed by nearly an hour.
However, the trains were allowed to chug off only after a detailed inspection of the bridge.
