BANGALORE, Mar 11: An Air Deccan flight from Coimbatore to Bangalore went off the runway at the city airport on Saturday but all the passengers and crew were safe, a top airline executive said.

There was a problem with the landing gears. The aircraft slightly went off the runway," Air Deccan Chief Operating Officer Warwick Brady said.

The aircraft was carrying 40 passengers when the incident took place on landing. "All the passengers are safe. There are no injuries", Air Deccan Chairman and Managing Director Capt Gopinath said.

 The aircraft went off the runway for a few yards, an airline official said.
