Mangalore, Mar 26: Prakash Viegas, his wife Philomena Viegas and their year-old child Shaina Priya Viegas, hailing from Hoigebail near Ullal, were injured when hit by a jeep at Kodikal in the city on Saturday.

Kavoor police sources said the condition of Philomena and the child was causing concern.

The mishap occurred on the national highway 17, on the stretch between Kottara chowki and Kulur, which has a history of road accidents.
