Mangalore, Mar 30: At the VII National Youth Parliament held here recently, Vishwas Kamath who played the role of the prime minister won the first place. Kamath is the final year student of SDM Law College. Arlene Texeira, who played the role of the leader of opposition, bagged the second place. Texeira is a second year BBM student of St Agnes College.

Roopa Rani H K, student of III BA, University College bagged the second place for her role of home minister, Sunil George of final year LLB, SDM Law College won the third place for his role as speaker, Shreesha Kumar of II LLB, SDM Law College won the third place for his role as law and justice minister while Raksha Shenoy of II LLB stood third for her role as human resource development minister.

Ismail Musba of III LLB and Priya Baliga of II LLB, SDM Law College students have won fourth places for their roles as members of the opposition.

Over 50 students from SDM Law College, Besant Women’s College, St Agnes College and University College represented the Mangalore University team and will receive their prizes at a function to be held in New Delhi in May.
