Bantwal, Nov 6: 'Yuvajans' - a residential camp was organized for the Bantwal Deanery youth from November 1 - Novemer 5 at Nirkan church.

Kevin Misquith nite was also organised alongside the camp on October 20 at Loretto Church hall as a part of the financial support.

The camp which was organized after five years, made a remarkable event in the Bantwal deanery. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by youth director Fr Benjamin Pinto, Fr Ronald Dsouza, vicar Fr Maxim Noronha and other priests along with the youth committee leaders.

The camp overall contained all typed of entertaining contests which include an ice break session, action songs and a few talks by resource persons. Camp fire and spiritual activities also formed a part of the programme.

The main theme of the camp was the 'facilities and availabilities of scholarships for Christian minorities'. The talk was given by social welfare expert Arun Furtado. A talk on leaderdship was given by Fr Walter and team. There was also a talk on literature and a quiz conducted by Neslon Monis.

Spiritual activities were led by Fr Boniface Pinto, 'Taize' prayer by a Jesuit youth group was conducted. A well organised camp fire enlightened the minds if the youth along with a session of fire crackers which was marked with the prescence of thunder, lightening and rain towards the end of the camp.
