Two students die in Gurgaon road accident


Gurgaon, Nov 6 (IANS): Two engineering students were killed and another was critically injured Wednesday when an overspeeding dumper hit their motorcycle near Sohna town, police said.

Mohit and his cousin Chaman, both 19, were killed on the spot. The accident happened near Lakhuwas village in Sohna, some 26 km from Gurgaon.

Mohit's classmate Vivek was critically injured.

"The victims were residents of Dhohla village in Sohna," said a senior police officer.

Angry students set ablaze the dumper and a police gypsy. They also blocked the Sohna-Palwal road for hours. Heavy police force was deployed at the spot to control the situation.

Mohit had gone to invite his friends for his elder brother's marriage Nov 20.
