Udupi: Rickshaw drivers, owners meet to form Jayakarnataka unit

Udupi, Nov 15: In a recent meeting of rickshaw driver and owners held at Udupi, it was decided to start a Jayakarnataka unit in Udupi.  The meeting presided by K Ramesh Shetty, convener of Jaya Karnataka was held at the Sai Palace hotel hall.

It was unanimously decided to start the unit, keep it away from political affiliations and put forth the legitimate demands by drawing the attention of the government.

The meeting that was held on November 13, with the thoughtfulness, guidance and suggestion of Udupi district president of Jaya Karnataka, Janani Diwaker J Shetty, was attended by district vice president Madhusoodan Poojary Kemmannu, Youth unit president Manoj Kumar Padubidri, secretary Mahesh Shetty Paniyooru, Taluk vice president Pravin Kollur, Town vice president Ashok Bailakere, Nagesh Acharya Saligrama, Prashanth Brahmavara and Santhoshnagar unit president Moidin.                  

District chief secretary Udaya Kumar Shetty Inna, unit secretary Annappa Kulal Hebri, media reporter S S Thonse and Raiksaw driver Keshava addressed the gathering.

Udaya Kumar Shetty welcomed.  Unit secretary Manoj Shetty conducted the programe and thanked the gathering.
