Mangalore, Apr 13: DySP Shankar M Mantoor who has been promoted as Lokayukta SP was given a touching farewell on Wednesday April 12.
Western Range IGP K S Suresh Babu felicitated Mantoor on his promotion before officially bidding farewell to the senior cop. Speaking on this occasion Suresh Babu said that Mantoor was an inspiration person who could wear a smile on his face even in times of pressure and extreme problems. "It is quite amazing to see a cop smiling despite the wear and tear of being a police for 34 years. He had an uncanny knack of handling even the most difficult situations," said IGP.
District SP B Dayanand, ASP Lokesh Kumar, Panamboor DySP Mithra Heraje and Puttur ASP Subrahmaneshwar Rao were also present on the occasion.
Bunder police inspector Vinay Gaonkar, Pandeshwar SI Venkatesh Prasanna and ASI of Anti Rowdy Squad Narayan Byndoor expressed their opinions about S M Mantoor.
Traffic circle inspector Chandrashekhar welcomed the gathering while DCIB inspector Tilakchandra proposed vote of thanks. Harishchandra compered the programme.
