Mangalore, Apr 21: A person was punished by public for stealing vehicle RC at State Bank area here on Friday April 21 morning. He was later handed over to the Pandeshwar police custody.
Hari alias Harish who hails from Yellapur was caught by some tempo drivers while trying to steal RCs from vehicles parked near the State Bank area. He was then tied to Yakshagana Rangamandira gate and was assaulted.
He was later on handed over to the Pandeshwar police. The police are enquiring him for possible nexus with some vehicle lifting gang.
More details are yet to be known. Only a detailed police enquiry would throw a clear light on the case.
