Mangalore, April 24: An 11-year boy, who was learning swimming at Shivarama Karanth Bala Bhavan swimming pool in Puttu, drowned on Sunday. 

The deceased, Mohamad Irshad, died in a private hospital Mangalore on Sunday. 
In a complaint to the Puttur town police, Irshad’s uncle Abdul Razak said that the boy drowned in the pool while swimming along with his friends.

Though he was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state, the doctors could not save him. 
Razak alleged that negligence of the swimming pool employees was the reason for the boy’s death.
