Congress supporters disrupting parliament, says BJP

New Delhi, Dec 13 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party said Friday that a "friendly match" between the ruling Congress and its supporting parties was disrupting parliament and not allowing the Lokpal Bill to be passed.

"The whole nation is watching. It is a friendly match between the Congress and its supporting parties which is not allowing the house to function," BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

"Congress should manage its supporting parties," he said.

The Lokpal Bill was tabled in the Rajya Sabha Friday but the house had to be adjourned due din soon after.

Members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) shouted "Save Andhra Pradesh" slogans.

Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav said his party was opposed to the bill in its present form.

He also said that price rise was an important issue the SP members wanted to raise.

"Price rise is an important issue we want to raise," he told reporters.
