AAP writes to Sonia Gandhi, Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS): Aam Aadmi Party founder leader Arvind Kejriwal Saturday said they have written to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi as well as BJP president Rajnath Singh, seeking their stand on specific issues pertaining to Delhi.

"We have written a letter to Sonia Gandhi. We have also written a letter to Rajnath Singh," said Kejriwal after meeting Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung from whom he sought 10 days time to take a decision on government formation.

"We did not ask for your support. What is their intention? What is in their mind?" he said while referring to the BJP and Congress. Both the parties have offered support to the AAP to help them form the government.

Kejriwal said that the Congress as well as the BJP should make their "stand clear" on 18 issues that they have raised.

AAP was invited by the Lt Governor after the BJP, which got 31 seats in the 70-member house, said that it was not in a position to form the government.

AAP bagged 28 seats and emerged as the second largest party.
