Roadside blast kills three policemen in Afghanistan


Kabul, Dec 14 (IANS): A roadside bomb struck a police van in Afghanistan's southern Ghazni province Saturday, killing three policemen and wounding two others, a local police official said.

"A mine planted by the militants struck a police vehicle in Shahbaz area in the outskirts of provincial capital Ghazni city at around 11 a.m. local time, leaving three personnel of Public Order Police martyred and injuring two others," Assadullah Insafi told Xinhua.

The police van was also destroyed in the blast, he added.
