Mangalore, Apr 28: "The 650 kilometre long road between the city and Tiruvanantapuram in Kerala will soon be converted into four lane road. The plan in this regard has already been drawn," said union ports, road transport and highways minister K H Muniappa.
He announced this during the meet the press programme held at Kasargod press club on Thursday April 27.
He also said that development of roads has been given top priority by the UPA government. "Already 65,000 kilometres national highway has been constructed. "The government has also continued the Express Corridor programme started by the then NDA government. A total of 50,000 long roads have been added to this already," he added.
