Kundapur, May 3: The shooting of a documentary film on Kollur Mookambika pilgrim centre began in the temple premises recently. The film is being made by Bandhu Samaja Seva Sangha in association with La Movies.
On the occasion Ramesh Ganiga rolled the camera marking the beginning of the shooting of the film while cine star Sachin of Encounter Daya Nayak fame shot the first scene.
The team will shoot at popular tourist spots around Kollur temple including the Souparnika river, Mastikatte, Shuklateertha, Dhali, Kashi rivulet, Kodachadri Seligeri, Marvanthe, Byndoor Seneshwara Temple and Someshwar seashore.
The film has the objective of providing information on history and cultural glory of Kollur for the benefits of the devotees from other parts of the state.
Religious Endowment Department officer R Madhav, Kollur station police officer Sampath Kumar, Kollur High school principal Arun Prakash Shetty, and several others were present on the occasion.
