Delhi experiences cold day, similar Saturday expected

New Delhi, Jan 10 (IANS): Delhi experienced a cold Friday with the maximum temperature settling at 20.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average. The Met Office has forecast similar weather for Saturday.

The maximum temperature Saturday is likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be around seven degrees.

"The day will start with moderate fog, but the sky will remain mainly clear in the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"Flights operated normally without any cancellation or delay," said Kapil Sabarwal, spokesperson of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The minimum temperature Friday was recorded at five degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
