Mumbai, May 12: In keeping with the policy of scheduling a few matches at off-shore venues, the Indian Cricket Board is in talks with their West Indies counterparts to pencil in a short One-Day International series in Northern America in September.
"The two cricket boards are having talks, which are only at a preliminary stage, to conduct a series of two or three bilateral ODIs in northern America in September before the ICC Champions Trophy," BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said on Friday.
"We would be finalizing everything by June when we meet up with the West Indies Cricket Board officials," he added.
Shah virtually ruled out the possibility of Australia also taking part in the series as was talked about earlier.
"Australia are unlikely to be part of the off shore series," the Board Secretary said.
