New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS): It was a chilly Thursday in the capital and the Met Office has forecast a cloudy day ahead.
The minimum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 9 degrees Celsius.
"The skies will become partly cloudy with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The fog with visibility at around 300 metres affected train operations.
According to Northern Railway, 33 trains were running late, six were rescheduled and two trains were cancelled.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 97 percent.
Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded four notches below the season's average at 16.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 10.2 degrees Celsius.
