Delhi ministers, police row to be probed

New Delhi, Jan 17 (IANS): Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung Friday ordered an enquiry into the dispute between two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ministers and the Delhi Police.

"A retired judge, B.L. Garg, will enquire into the matter. He has been asked to submit the report within 30 days," an official told IANS.

Law Minister Somnath Bharti Thursday accused the police in Malviya Nagar in south Delhi of virtual complicity with a gang involved in sex and drugs.

Also, Women and Child Minister Rakhi Birla said the police had refused to arrest even days after the incident members of a family which allegedly set on fire their daughter-in-law.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, however, has denied that his ministers were interfering in the work of the police.
