Delhi CM Kejriwal hospitalised

Ghaziabad, Jan 22 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who led a two-day sit-in, was hospitalised here Wednesday, a hospital official said.

Kejriwal was admitted to Yashoda hospital near his residence in Kaushambi early Wednesday. He underwent a CT scan after he was diagnosed with severe congestion.

He was suffering from acute bronchitis and had fever at night, sources at Yashoda Hospital said.

Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues held a sit-in in the heart of Delhi to demand control over Delhi Police and action against five police personnel who they say did not cooperate with them. The agitation ended Tuesday after two police officials went on leave.

Kejriwal has been suffering from severe cough for the past several days.

Doctors attending to Kejriwal said that he will be discharged soon.
