Rainy Wednesday, more rain expected Thursday


New Delhi, Jan 22 (IANS): The national capital experienced a cold, rainy Wednesday with the maximum temperature recorded three notches below average at 17.8 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast rain Thursday too.

The city has recorded 4.8 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours till Wednesday evening.

"There might be spells of rain Thursday too and there might also be shallow fog in the morning," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The minimum temperature was recorded four notches above average at 12 degrees Celsius.

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 19 and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded seven notches below average at 14.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 10.2 degrees Celsius.
