Karkala, May 16: The Bangalore police on Monday May 15 have arrested 4 alleged Naxalites with regard to the Saturday May 13 Naxal attack on Bhoja Shetty's house at Nadpalu near Hebri here.
As reported earlier a group of Naxalites had attacked Bhoja Shetty’s house on Saturday and had damaged the TV set after firing bullets at it. The initial police enquiry had said that the Naxalites involved in the attack had fled to Bangalore.
Based on this clue, the Bangalore police led by Additional Police Commissioner, 2 DCPs and an inspector seized a house in the Northern division and arrested 4 Naxalites. The sources also said that the police have also recovered large amount of arms and ammunitions from them.
However, the police sources have not yet confirmed the arrest of four Naxalites in Bangalore. More details and an official announcement regarding the arrest of the alleged Naxalites is expected after a thorough investigation.
