Mumbai, May 16: A teenaged girl of Udupi origin has been murdered at her residence at Dahisar here on Monday May 15 night.
Vasudha Shenoy (19), daughter of Gurunath, was found murdered in her kitchen at Dahisar. At the time of murder no one was in the house with her. Her father had gone to work while her mother and sister had gone to Udupi to their relatives’ house.
Vasudha had to face an interview with regard to a job opportunity on May 19. Thus she had not visited Udupi.
On Monday when her father returned from work around 10 pm, he found Vasudha murdered in the kitchen. She was found to have been stabbed with a sharp weapon in her chest and neck.
Vasudha was a brilliant student of Dhumankar College at Vile Parle and was also active in extra-curricular activities. She was preparing for her interview. But fate had something else in store for her.
The initial investigation failed to draw any clues in the house. Only a detailed police enquiry could throw light on the case.
