11 killed in Pakistan road accident


Islamabad, Jan 25 (IANS): At least 11 people were killed and four injured when their vehicle fell into a ravine in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Saturday morning.

According to police, the vehicle plunged into the ravine while negotiating a sharp curve in the mountainous terrain in Chitral district, Xinhua reported.

The injured were admitted to the district hospital, where two of them are said to be in critical condition.

Road accidents often happen in Chitral, mainly due to poor roads and overloading.
