Cold Saturday in Delhi, Sunday likely to be less chilly


New Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS): The national capital experienced extremely cold Saturday with the maximum temperature recorded seven notches below average at 14.4 degrees Celsius. Sunday is however expected to be less chilly, said the met department.

"The sky will remain clear Sunday with moderate fog in the morning," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively.

Saturday's minimum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 9.4 degrees Celsius.

Friday's minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius - three notches above the season's average, while the maximum temperature settled at 18 degrees Celsius, also three notches below season's average.
