Mangalore, May 18: Malati (34), a resident of Sundari Bagh near Ullal here, had ended her life by jumping into the sea at Someshwar on May 14.
Now a relative named Ratna has complained to the police that the motive for the suicide was the persistent harassment from her husband Krishnappa.
Krishnappa and Malati were married in 2002. The husband is said to have been addicted to drinks and was ill-treating the wife and harassing her to regularly ring money from her parents.
The complainant has cited this as having motivated the suicide.
