Mangalore, May 20: Author-columnist and editor of 'Anupama' women's Kannada monthly magazine Shahanaz M's newest book 'Badukannu Preetisu' was released by noted Kannada author, researcher and folklore expert Prof Amrit Someshwar in the Kandaya Bhavan at the deputy commissioner's office premises here on Saturday evening.

Notary and Blood, Brain, Biom Banking Trust president M B Abdurrahman presided over the function. Author Shahanaz welcomed and introduced the book. Abdurrahman praised the efforts of a woman writer like Shahanaz for having achieved so many milestones in her writing career.
Qirat was recited by Sheik Ismail Mubeen and vote of thanks proposed by publisher S M Muthalib.
Abdul Qadir Kukkila compered the function, which was attended by a large number of writers, predominantly, women writers from all denominations.
