Mumbai, May 25: The city Police have invoked the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the eleven suspected Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives, arrested in the Aurangabad arms and explosives seizure case.
"We have invoked MCOCA against the LeT suspects and will produce them in the court this afternoon," Anti-Terrorist Squad chief K P Raghuvanshi told PTI here on Wednesday.
The LeT suspects were currently booked under Indian Explosives Act and invoking MCOCA would allow the ATS to seek police custody remand for a longer period as well as book more persons involved in the case, he said.
The ATS seized 16 AK-47, 43 kg RDX, 4000 ammunition rounds and 50 hand grenades.
