Man shot at over minor issue in Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS): A worker in a sweet shop was shot at here Tuesday evening by a security guard following an argument over delay in delivering a dish, police said.

The incident occurred in the Gole Market area of central Delhi. The man, Satendra Singh 35, was admitted to the Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital.

Singh received a bullet wound in his head. His condition is critical.

The accused was identified as Neeraj, 34, who was deployed in a bank cash van.

He was nabbed and the weapon seized.

"Prima facie it seemed that Neeraj got angry and opened fire at Singh over delay in delivering sweets," said a police officer.
