European Commission audit teams to visit Kochi


Kochi, March 4 (IANS): Two teams of the European Commission Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) will be in Kochi from March 8 to 13, sources said Tuesday.

The delegation will be visiting seafood processing centres to evaluate the control systems overseeing production of fishery products meant for export to the European Union, sources in the seafood industry told IANS.

The two teams would then branch out and visit various laboratories and fishing harbours for an inspection.
