Seven killed in Rajasthan accident


Jaipur, March 13 (IANS): Seven people were killed in a collision between a truck and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Rajasthan early Thursday, police said.

According to police, the accident occurred near Ghadsana in Sriganganagar district, around 450 km from here.

"Six people were travelling in the SUV. A truck carrying construction material collided head-on with it. The SUV's oil tank caught fire following which all the passengers were burnt to death," a police officer said.

"One man travelling in the truck was also killed, while two others were injured."

"All the victims in the SUV were men belonging to Ghadsana area. The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem examination," the officer added.
