Mangalore, Mar 23 : Padmashree K. V. Kamath, the non-executive Chairman of ICICI bank visited the AIMIT campus of St Aloysius College, Mangalore on Saturday, 22 March. He was accorded a warm welcomed by Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Rector of St Aloysius College along with Frs Pradeep Sequeira SJ and Fr Oswald Mascarenhas SJ.
 
Kamath was escorted the the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium where more than 300 students of MBA and IT programmes had gathered to listen to K V Kamath.  Fr Denzil Lobo SJ extended a cordial welcome and introduced the eminent guest to the student body.

K V Kamath spoke for about 15 minutes on the developments during the past 25 years in India and the rapid growth we have witnessed. He told the students gathered that they are really lucky to have been born at this point of time. He also mentioned that India will progress if we remove the bottle neck we have been experiencing in the developmental process and he said that infra-structure development, like the roads  etc are essential for the growth of our country. He also said the next government has to be proactive and implement developmental projects , and thus give boost to the economy of our country.
 
His short presentation was followed by Question & Answers. Many students raised very interesting questions to which Mr Kamath gave answers and clarifications. The programme ended with the presentation of a autographed copy of a book written by Fr Oswald Mascarenhas SJ, Chairman, MBA dept. After the programme Mr Kamath  had a look at the facilities at AIMIT  and appreciated the beautiful ambience created for the higher education in Management and Information Technology.
