Mangalore: ATM machines at railway station catch fire

Mangalore, Mar 26: An ATM of Dena Bank located on the premises of Mangalore Central Railway Station, Hampankatta, caught fire on Wednesday March 26. No injury has been reported in the incident.

Fire brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flames. There were two ATM machines in the kiosk, and both were burnt down.

Locals said that they noticed smoke emanating from behind the ATM and informed the security guard. The Dena Bank officials came to the spot and opened the ATM machine and removed the cash boxes safely.

According to the police, the ATM caught fire due to short circuit. At the time of the incident, a guard was present near the ATM, who called the police and the fire control room.
