Mangalore, Apr 8: A free CET coaching camp, career guidance and scholarships program began at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) campus on  April 7.

 The camp, which commenced at the campus, is being conducted under the aegis of the Bearys Group. It aims at providing quality coaching to students who plan to appear for the CET exam of Karnataka state and will run till April 15.

Eminent and experienced teachers with over 15 years of experience like Prof Sarfaraz, Prof Shantarajappa and other faculty members of BIT will be handling the training program.  The camp will conclude on April 16 with a 'MOCKCET' exam which will give the participants of the week  long camp hands-on experience at tackling the highly competitive exam.

Officials of the Bearys Institute of Technology said that students who take the 'MOCKCET' will also be eligible for scholarships of upto 100% being offered by the Bearys Group. They also said that the response to this camp has been tremendous with close to 200 students registering for the same. Several students registered for the camp from out of Mangalore. BIT has provided free hostel accommodation to these students so that they may concentrate on their coaching classes.

The valedictory function of the program is scheduled to be held on April 16 at the campus of BIT where scholarships will be announced to meritorious students who qualify the required norm in the 'MOCKCET' conducted by the Institute on the same day.
