Dubai, Jun 19: The Kannada Heart throb and romantic hero Ramesh was one of the distinguished guests and a star attraction at the recently held Silver Jubilee celebration of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha.

In an informal tête-à-tête with B G Mohandas of  Gulfvarthe, Ramesh passionately called on parents to teach Kannada and inculcate the Karantaka way of life to their children from a very young age. He was reacting to a concern of the media that a new generation of Kanndigas without the knowledge of Kannada is on the rise at the Gulf. In his loving message to Gulf Kannadigas ( NRKa) he reiterated that the absence of Kannada medium schools should not be a hindrance to learn Kannada and this should be compensated by the parents. Adding on with all the humility he declared that – ‘Home is an excellent University & Parents are the finest Teachers’. Thus it becomes ‘obligatory’ on the parents to teach Kannada to their siblings he concluded.

Ramesh lauded the efforts of Gulfvarthe and daijiworld for providing a media platform for the Karnataka Activities of the Gulf. Other wise the vibrant Karnataka based activities which are taking place in the Gulf will go unnoticed and will not be known to millions of Kanndigas all over the world he remarked.

Earlier actor Ramesh who is also well-known for his witty dialogues entertained the crowd with spontaneous jokes which relaxed the moods of the big crowd. For the lively performer he is, he coxed the audience to participate in the ‘Antakshari’ which eventually ended with lots of fun and amusement. A graceful and non fussy actor Ramesh Arvind mixed freely with his fans and performed too. His foot tapping dance sequence with the local boys was electrifying and he deserved all the cheer & applause. In all, his presence in this gala event will be remembered for a long time to come.

As reported earlier, the Karnataka Chief Minister H.D.Kumaaraswamy and many dignitaries participated in the festivity.
