Australian plane detained in Bali?

Canberra, April 25 (IANS): An Australian Virgin Blue Airlines flight from Brisbane to Bali has been held up after landing at its destination Friday due to confusion caused by an unruly passenger, a media report said.

A Virgin Airline spokesman has dismissed reports of the plane, a Boeing 737-800, being hijacked, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

"We're still trying to get to the bottom of what happened, but the plane has landed safely at (Bali's capital) Denpasar," the spokesman said.

The Indonesian police have arrested one man who is now being interrogated.

"We are now trying to communicate with the airplane but are still unable to do so. The airplane is now at one end of the runway," Indonesian military spokesman Major General Fuad Basya said.
