Kuwait, Jun 22: St Aloysius College Alumni Association, Kuwait (SACAA Kuwait) led by its president Archie Menezes and his Executive Committee have successfully steered the Kuwait chapter of SACAA through an eventful year. In its very first year of inception, with the aide of its ardent Aloysians in Kuwait, the alumni have carved out a niche for itself in the hearts and minds of the local community.

To mark its first anniversary, the AGM unanimously favoured contribution of Rs 2 lac to cater to the needs to the Aloysian Boys Home, Mangalore as part of SACAA Kuwait commitment to aide in the betterment of the society by supporting the endeavours of its Alma Mater.

From a humble gathering on June 03, 2005 that was enkindled in the presence of old students of St Aloysius, it has grown from strength to strength to a member base of over 125 registered Aloysian Alumnus in Kuwait.

In a span of one year, it has to its credit of formal adoption of a written constitution for the Kuwait Chapter of SACAA, installation of the first elected members to its executive committee and the mega success of its maiden annual grand event Rendezvous 06 held in February 06 and hosting a cricket tournament.

At the annual general body meeting, held recently there were plans to organise many more cultural, sports events and competitions in addition to career building and academic workshops.
