Sourabha Awards-2014 to be held in Mangalore

Mumbai, May 24: The cultural department of Mangalore Suma Sourabha, a Kannada fortnightly and Shree Jnana Mandira Education and Cultural Trust Bangalore will jointly organize a Cultural Fest (Sanskrithika Sambrama) on Saturday May 31 at Town Hall in Mangalore.

The Sourabha Awards-2014 will be conferred on this occasion. Managing editor M J Rao said, "N P Suvarna and Prabha N P Suvarna will be conferred with the Sourbha Rathna Puraskar for their excellence in social service."


Harikrishna Punarooru will preside over the function while Dr J D Joshi will inaugurate the ceremony. The state minister for forests will hand over the prizes.

N P Suvarna has immensely served in the educational field for the past 40 years. Presently he is president of the Youngmen's educational institution and a active member of Billava Jagruthi Balaga. He has also served in the Kannada Bhavan and Kannada Sangha.

Prabha N P Suvarna has also immensely served in the filed of education and social service for the past two decades.
