Bhatkal: Three injured in bike-car collision

Bhatkal, May 25: Three young boys were injured seriously as a splendor bike collided with a car on national highway 66 near Nawayath colony, Bhatkal.

The accident occurred around 7 pm on Saturday May 24 evening. The bike with a triple ride was travelling at a high speed from Tanzeem road Nawayath colony and had a head-on collision with car coming from Honnawar heading towards Manipal. The injured have been identified as Maviya Mohammed Hussaina, Abdul Tawwab Mulla and Faisal. All three have been shifted to Mangalore after their initial treatment at Bhatkal Welfare Hospital. Their age is said to be below 20.

 
Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation president Imtiyaaz Udyawar, Mohammed Nooh, Zubair Armar and several other youth helped in transporting the injured to the hospital immediately after the accident.
 
After the news of the incident spread, hundreds of locals rushed to hospital.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station.
