Bantwal, May 30: A speeding KSRTC bus lost control and dashed a rickshaw that was parked by the side of the road and climbed over it.
The incident took place near Mithabail mosque at B C Road here. It is said to have occurred after the driver Mohammed Ashraf had parked the rickshaw and gone to the mosque.
The vehicle was completely damaged.
The driver's reckless speed and careless driving is said to have caused the accident.
Hundreds of people gathered and an anxious atmosphere was created. Bantwal town police sent additional policemen to the place of the accident to prevent untoward incident.
A police case is registered against the bus driver at the Bantwal police station.
