DUBAI, JULY 11: Zee Telefilms International, the UAE arm of  Indian television network Zee TV, has set up a state-of-the-art  digital studio in Sharjah that would provide locally-produced  programmes to viewers in the region.

It would complement the network's increasing emphasis on Arab viewership and indigenous content as exemplified by its  Arab-oriented channel Zee Arabiya, Yogesh Radhakrishnan, its  regional Managing Director, said.

The $6-million high-end studio and post-production facilities located at the ISO certified Airport Free Zone can  shoot any type of TV production right  from anchor-based shows to live dial-ins.

The studio will serve several purposes, including support to  the new, Arabic based and youth-focused channel Zee Arabiya.
