Kasargod, June 10: The committee of endosulfan affected victims has decided to go on protest again. The indefinite protests will be held in front of the Vidhana Sabha from June 23 until the session gets over on July 17.

The protests will be held as the government has taken no action to pay a compensation recommended by the National Human Rights Commission. The committee has decided to take a new turn in protests after the recent incident in which a couple killed their endosulfan affected son and committed suicide. The committee has alleged that the victims will commit suicide if the government does not respond.

In the protests held in front of the office of the Chief Minister in January, a meeting was presided over by minister K P Mohanan who had promised to respond positively to their demands. As the government has not come forward to fulfill the demands, the committee has decided to go on a protest once again. The committee has also decided to meet prime minister Narendra Modi and express their problems.

Committee president T Shobhana presided over the programme.

Ambalathara Kunhikrishnan, advocate T V Rajendran, K Balakrishnan, K K Ashokan, Abdul Khader Chattanchal, Krishnan Pullooru, Raghavan Chandera, C Ganesha, Akhila, Nalini, C V Misriya, Ravindran, Subhash, Jagadambika and P Krishnan spoke on the occasion.
