Venkaiah Naidu conducts surprise check of his ministry

New Delhi, June 12 (IANS): Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of his ministry here and found many officials absent.

Naidu reached Nirman Bhawan - which houses the ministry - at 9 a.m. and walked into the rooms of officials and found many of them empty.

"He noticed rooms of several officers and reporting staff empty as they were yet to reach office," a government official told IANS.

While the minister found electric wires dangling in the corridor, he expressed unhappiness over upkeep of the canteen.

Naidu later called the secretary and other senior officials to convey his displeasure.

Very well done - and these should continue and happen all across all departments - they want there full pay cheque or not ???? Life is dad as attitude is bad -Coming out this time I had Virgin airlines flight from IGI airport , terminal 3 - about 11.30 am I reached and sat next to a window . About 5 feet away was a pillar with a small gap near the door where to my surprise I saw a woman cleaner hiding and had put her cleaning stuff in front so she could not be seen . I asked her Govt is paying you and look at the disrespect you are showing to your country -shameful it was , she quickly got up and disappeared - discipline is all but gone with bad or no governance from Congress - Jai Hind -
