Mumbai, Jun 16: Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty' will soon be entering the 100 crore club.
'Holiday' has collected 87.5 crores till date. It just needs 12.5 crores to collect 100 crores in India. The movie had collected 68 crores in its first week.
'Holiday' will be the third movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club, next to Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' and Arjun Kapoor's '2 States'.
'Holiday' is directed by A R Murgadoss and produced by Vipul A Shah. The first film to enter the 100 Crore Club in India was Aamir Khan starrer 'Ghajini' which was also directed by A R Murgadoss.
Holiday is the remake of Tamil film 'Thuppakki' which starred the Tamil superstar Vijay and Kajal Agrawaal. The Tamil version was also directed by A R Murgadoss.
The movie has recieved good reviews from critics and the audience response was also good, which lead to the increase in collections.
The success of the film was very important for Akshay Kumar as his last two films 'Boss' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobara' did not meet the expectations of his fans.
