Mysore, July 27: The State Intelligence is believed to have reported to the Home Ministry that certain terrorist outfits, posing as organic farmers, have purchased lands in Chamarajanagar and Mysore districts.

The terrorists, believed to be based in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, are building terrorist base under the guise of farming. They are also suspected to be luring the gullible villagers by offering good wages for their labour, brainwash the youngsters and instigate them towards anti-social activities. Some of them are also trained as fidayeen (snipers or sharp shooters) and suicide bombers, it is learnt.

Sources said that the intention of the terrorist outfits was to destabilise the political, economic and social fabric of the country, targeting Bangalore, Mysore, Gulbarga and Hubli-Dharwad districts in Karnataka.

"The terrorists, posing as decent innocent citizens, live in rented houses, not giving an inkling of doubt to their neighbours about their nefarious activities and thus become difficult to be accessed by the Police because of the localites' support", said the sources and added that the terrorists also gave training in cyber crime, use encrypted messages to plan terrorist attacks and frequently use stenography (hidden / invisible writing).
