Warm Sunday in Delhi, Monday to be partly cloudy


New Delhi, June 29 (IANS): The national capital experienced a warm weekend with the maximum temperature recorded at 39.7 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. The Met department has forecast a partly cloudy Monday.

"The skies will be clear in the morning but turn partly cloudy noon onwards. Dust and thunder storms may occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The minimum temperature Sunday settled at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.

Saturday was warm with the maximum temperature recorded at 39.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
