SP leader raises pro-Pakistan slogans, arrested

Lucknow, Jun 30 (IANS): A Samajwadi Party (SP) leader was booked in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district for raising slogans in favour of Pakistan, police said Monday.

Samajwadi Party leader Mehmood Alam, resident of Jhinjhana town, was arrested on the Meerut-Karnal highway when he was extorting money from the passers-by. Alam was drunk when he was arrested, police said.

He raised objections and resisted his arrest at the police action. When overpowered by six police constables, he started raising pro-Pakistan and anti-Narendra Modi slogans.

"The SP leader started shouting on top of his voice 'Pakistaan Zindabad' and 'Narendra Modi Murdabad' after which local officials booked him for breach of peace," an official said.

The top officials ordered stringent action against Alam and sedition charges were added to the initial 'challan' after they came to know about the incident.

Station House Officer (SHO) B.P. Yadav and the constables on duty were then asked to ensure that the case was "properly followed in courts as per the law", a police official told IANS.

    Dear Vincent Rodrigues,
Tomorrow someone will come and abuse you....Will you keep quiet saying its his Constitutional right???
Please use your sense when you say something.... India is our Mother and Pakistan has been on the offensive for so many years killing innocent people in India.... Why India is allowing that is another debate, we can discuss that on some other forum....
But the point here is if someone is drinking Indian water, eating Indian food and breathing the air in India and is praising and loves Pakistan so much, then why does not he choose to go and live there???
This man must be punished by hanging to death as a traitor, so that it becomes a lesson to all those who live in India and say "Pakistan Zindabad"....

    Dear Mr. Haris,
Can you tell me logic behind you calling me as fake?

I might have written here hypocritically on the basis of my support to one political party. But, I swear in this forum that unlike you I never wrote comments on articles related to theft / rape / assault on the basis of religion / name of the person involved. Once again I claim here that you are one of the most biased commentator when it comes to theft / rape / assault, to suffice this I have provided lot of examples previously.

Now, tell me who is fake? Person who commenting on theft / rape / assault purely on religion of the culprits or person who condemning these irrespective of religion. If you give one example that my comments are based on religion I openly accept here that yes I am FAKE, otherwise will you?
